Introduction:

The design of the PUMA Annual Knife 2024 comes from knifemaker Christoph Daim, a member of the German Knifemakers Guild (DMG), who looks for something special, artistic and interesting in knives. Together with engraver Stefanie Ottilie, he has produced the first prototype for us, which has a particularly artistic touch. 

At first glance, the 2024 annual knife has a simple and minimalist design and even dispenses with handle scales. However, it scores points with beautiful laser engravings of our heraldic animal, the PUMA. Enjoy the laser engravings of the elegant predator on both sides. On the front there is a laser engraving of a lurking puma behind a tree, on the back you can see a puma in a playful leap typical of cats, "hunting" butterflies.  The PUMA annual knife is limited to just 255 pieces worldwide. The annual knife, laser engraved, is made of 1.4116 stainless steel and comes with a handmade leather sheath and a high-quality, decorative display stand.

German PUMA DAGGA BOY Hunting Knife

Introduction:

The Puma"Dagga" is a heavy, robust and yet shapely hunting knife that is not too bad for any task - from PUMA Solingen.

Knives used for hunting should have good stability. This insight was consistently implemented in our PUMA "dagga". The result is a heavy hunting all-rounder with a strong flat-ground blade whose full tang is fitted with voluminous buffalo horn scales. A guard made of solid nickel silver serves as hand protection. These features make the "dagga" model suitable for heavier cutting tasks and will not let its owner down in any situation.

A brief explanation of the name of the knife: “Dagga Boy” is a term used mainly in the context of safaris in Africa to describe an old, solitary male buffalo. The word “dagga” comes from Zulu and means mud, referring to the preference of these buffalo to spend time in muddy waters to protect themselves from insects, among other things. Dagga Boys are known for their unpredictability and can be quite dangerous. Such a strong name for a powerful hunting knife!

Introduction:

The blade, which has been testet for Rockwell hardness, is made of mirror - polished 1.4116 stainless steel and has a decorative back. The transition from the handle to the blade is designed to protect the hand. The leather sheath has been finished off with metal fittings.

The PUMA hunter's companion is a balanced and robust all-round knife, which has been newly released to celebrate 250 years of company history. Through a survey with hunters, outdoor enthusiasts and knife lovers, we wanted to know which earlier PUMA model was particularly popular and deserved a new edition. The hunter's companion was selected. The distinctive thumb rest ensures a safe pressure spread during cutting work and the stag horn grips lies comfortably in hand.

The "Jagdnicker according Frevert" was already developed in the middle of the last century and belongs to the classic hunting knives - from PUMA Solingen.

As is well known, legends never die! The "small Jagdnicker according Frevert" from PUMA has been an integral part of hunting equipment for decades and has not lost its relevance in terms of design and functionality to this day. The blade with in the place area sharpened phase is extremely stable held and therefore not only suitable for the red work but also different uses in the hunting ground. The walnut handle scales are underlaid with fiber and the nickel silver bolsters make this high-quality, classic hunting knife particularly safe to handle. The matching leather belt sheath is equipped with two safety straps incl. pressure head lock.

German PUMA Skinner Hunting Knife

Introduction:

The PUMA "Skinner" knife is a special knife in a classic shape that was developed in the second half of the last century and has lost none of its popularity - by PUMA Solingen.
The tip of the Skinner blade, which is typical for skinning, is slightly above the back of the blade on this Solingen classic. As a result, the cutting edge becomes very bulbous in the front part and is thus lengthened. This has the advantage that much longer cuts can be made and the need to apply the knife repeatedly is reduced. Since the tip of the blade is very high, the risk of accidentally stabbing the valuable fur is also significantly reduced. Puma Waidwerk Hunting Knife

Introduction:

When we developed our PUMA Waidwerk ergonomics had the highest priority. We teamed up with a professional hunter and a butcher to create this special blade design. We chose to use hard Sandvik 14C28N steel for the 4.330” inch (110mm) long blade because it holds the edge incredibly well. Even though the blade has a very modern design we combined it with our typical stag scales and white copper bolsters.
