This oil is essential for sharpening on an Arkansas oil stone, as the stones must not be used with water or dry. Only use properly with an oil stone! A few drops on the sharpening stone are sufficient.
The oilstones are quarried from rock in the Ouachita Mountains/Arkansas. The unique structure of the novaculite ensures that Arkansas oilstones are extremely wear-resistant and, unlike other wet-grinding stones, never need to be dressed or planned. Perfect for sharpening knives and other tools. Supplied without holder. Oil and oil stone are supplied in a small gift box.
IMPORTANT: ARKANSAS OIL STONES MAY ONLY BE USED WITH A GRINDING OIL! DO NOT USE DRY OR WITH WATER!

PUMA Knife Sharpening Steel
- Made in Solingen / Germany -
Small, handy sharpening steel with a ring for fastening, ideal for traveling, camping, hunting, or even in the kitchen etc.
A sharpening steel is not used for sharpening, but rather for straightening the knife edge. If you use a freshly sharpened knife, microscopic bumps or burrs can form during use. A sharpening steel straightens these - without removing any material. Therefore, a dull knife cannot be sharpened with a sharpening steel. For this purpose, you need sharpening tools such as a knife sharpener, sharpening rod or whetstone.
We recommend using a sharpening steel before each use of the knife. This ensures that the cutting edge is always straightened and stays sharp for longer - meaning you need to sharpen less often. It contributes to efficient edge maintenance without the effort and time required for a sharpening process. A sharpening steel is really only an advantage if you use your knife very frequently. As soon as the edge has become significantly blunt and a sharpening steel is no longer sufficient, you should use a knife sharpener, sharpening rod or whetstone to restore the original edge. Supplied with a leather sheath.
