Introduction:

Among the entire variety of combat knives, completely blackened versions are basically a must-have. The black versions are very popular, not just for military operations, but also due to the special charisma of such dagger and the added corrosion protection provided by the coating. So it was basically our duty to add such a variant of the A-F 4.5 and A-F 5.5 models. Hardly any other knifemaker has influenced the field of tactical knives as much as William H. "Bill" Harsey, his designs have earned him an excellent reputation in the knife world. His modification of the legendary Boker Applegate-Fairbairn combines the knife used by many elite units with modern elements. The larger blade width and the more favorable geometry of the double edged N690 blade with black PVD coating improve the cutting properties, while the blade length offers an optimum compromise between guidance and utility value. The tang reaches out of the end of the handle and it can be used as a windowbreaker. The CNC-milled handle scales made of black Micarta are extremely durable, pleasantly structured and offer excellent grip even when wet. Delivery includes high-quality black nylon scabbard by SpecOps.

Additional informations about N690 Steel:

The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695!) is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel we use at our Solingen manufacture for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.

Introduction:

The various versions of the Boker Applegate-Fairbairn have been convincing special forces all over the world for years and have emerged as an icon among tactical knives. The knife goes back to the classic Fairbairn-Sykes dagger from World War II and was designed by Col. Rex Applegate. The elite soldier coordinated secret operations throughout Europe during the war and even became President Franklin D. Roosevelt's personal guard. He trained Allied Special Forces in close combat and founded the "School for Spies and Assassins" in today's Camp David. Later he continued to work as a consultant and trainer, wrote numerous books about close quarter combat and began to develop and improve the perfect combat knife.

The smaller and thus more handy version of the Applegate-Fairbairn has been developed according to the same concept as its big brother. Fiberglass-reinforced Delrin handle with integrated stainless steel weights, brass cross-guard and 440C blade steel. The blade has on the one side a typical double conical dagger grind and on the other side a hollow grind. Delivery includes a Kydex sheath and a large Tek-Lok.

The Boker Scout has been firmly connected to our name since 1985. No one can say today if anyone would have expected that the Pocket knife would be one of the most successful and popular Knives from our range. But these many years in short-lived fads, that are also not unusual on the knife market, is definitely special. While no other model has had as many versions as the Scout over the years, the basic specifications never changed. The Boker Boy Scout breaks with this tradition and (while not changing the design) provides a smaller, pocket-friendlier version that plays to its strength primarily as a compact everyday companion. The Boy Scout also has a significantly lower profile, yet is just as rugged and durable as its big brother. The nickel silver scales are CNC-machined for greater precision. The hollow ground blade made of stainless steel N690 contributes with its memorable shape to the incomparable appearance of the Scout. A classic back-lock keeps the blade safely open. When the knife is opened, the spine locks into a notch on the back of the blade. To close the knife, push down the exposed part of the spine. Even in the world of high-tech materials like powder metallurgical steel, composites like carbon or G10 and technical materials such as titanium or zirconium, classic pocket knives are still enjoying unabated popularity. Traditional designs like the Trapper, Scout, Barlow or our sporting knives have always been valued tools for everyday use and garner fans of all ages. With our Classic Gold series, we are offering a deliberate counterpoint to blades of a more modern make; with their laser engraved logo, these blades are certainly state-of-the-art but don't necessarily exude vintage charm. For the Classic Gold series, we came back to classic craftsmanship, finishing the blades with genuine classic gold etching that used to be common for high-quality knives. Highlighting their sophisticated appearance, the knives in this series have scales made from select pieces of certified imported desert ironwood, which is not just very sturdy but also offers a rather elegant look. The design is finished with a classic Boker logo in the handle scale. All in all, the Classic Gold series reaches into the past, bringing it back to life in a tangible way.

The six-piece Boker Camp Knife has been manufactured by hand since 1869 in our Solingen-based Manufactory. The concept, copied many times in the course of history, combines numerous useful tools in a high-quality Pocketknife. It is in production longer than any other multifunctional Knife. It offers two blades, a can opener, a cap lifter, a leather punch and reamer, a corkscrew, and a flathead screwdriver. Both blades are made of polished 4034 steel, the classic blade steel from Solingen, which combines corrosion resistance with the edge retention and is easy to sharpen. Thanks to the practical lanyard strap, the Knife can be easily attached to bags or other objects.

Introduction:

The Boker Davis Classic Hunter inspires with its traditional Droppoint blade, whose shape has proven itself in hunting and outdoor for decades. The design of the American knifemaker W.C. Davis from Missouri is equipped with green Micarta scales and stainless steel bolsters, thus offering excellent grip even in wet conditions. Red fibre layers provide an attractive contrast to the brushed steel and the intermediate piece is also made of Micarta.
The blade is made of the high-quality N690 and therefore leaves nothing to be desired in terms of durability. It is secured by a stable backlock. The slim design makes the knife particularly attractive. The handle thickness is just 11 millimetres above the bolsters and about 14 millimetres at the thickest point of the contoured scales. Despite its ergonomic design, the knife is hardly noticeable in the pocket. With lanyard hole.

The Boker Hunters Knife Duo continues to delight the traditionally oriented hunters. The classic scales made of stag give the Pocket knife an extraordinary charm. A special feature of knife scales made of stag is their individual shape. While wood handles differ mainly in their grain and color, scales made of stag are also characterized by their very specific surface structure, which makes each item a unique piece of art. This character is underlined at the Boker Fellow Ebony by the choice of the not stainless Carbon steel C75 for the blade. The fine structure of non- stainless steel allows for a very sharp blade that is easy to sharpen compared to chrome steel, which many users appreciate. Carbon steel is recognizable by its gray-blue patina that just comes with using the knife and tells connoisseurs a lot about the properties of this steel.
