With the Boker Försternicker, we are calling on traditional values, since this vintage version of the Nicker used to be a popular part of our program several decades ago. The slightly wider, curved blade is typical for this design, offering a somewhat larger task profile than the classic pointed hunting knife. The curved spine with subtle thumb grooves add to the comfortable grip and highlight the exclusive design. The Försternicker is ideal for all outdoor tasks on the hunt, since the sturdy blade with its high flat grind combines stability with excellent cutting properties. The use of modern Böhler N690 for the blade highlights the exceptional practical value thanks to the superior edge retention compared to classic nicker steel. It is also easy to sharpen.
The Nickel Silver bolster and butt give the Försternicker an excellent grip. The knife is easy to carry in the classic nicker sheath. The scales are fashioned in certified imported COCOBOLO, one of the most popular handle woods thanks to its warm hue.

Additional informations about Böhler N690 steel:
The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695!) is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel we use at our Solingen manufacture for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.
The Boker Savannah Stag is a professional hunting and outdoor knife with a massive blade and elegant lines. The design by Armin Stütz, from the Austrian knife forge "Steirer Eisen", was developed in collaboration with professional rangers based on intensive experience in big game hunting in South Africa. The solid blade has an exceptional two-tone finish and is made of the cobalt-alloyed N690. This high performance steel can handle any cutting task, and the full tang design of this piece provides extraordinary strength and stability. The classic handle scales made of stag give the hand an excellent hold and provide a traditional look. For all friends of the probably most traditional of all handle materials of hunting knives stag still offers an unbroken fascination and enjoys extreme popularity. Stainless steel bolsters and a lanyard hole complete this high class knife. A reliable and powerful companion for all outdoor activities. With high quality leather sheath.

Additional informations about "Steirer Eisen and "Armin Stütz":
The Austrian Armin Stütz began manufacturing knives in 1984 and founded the blacksmith Steirer Eisen in 1996. Since this time, knives and swords have been produced in pure manual work, initially, in particular, fixed knives, but for a number of years also increasingly folding knives for a wide range of applications. In the meantime, Steirer Eisen is Austria\'s largest blacksmith.
