Our “Medici” model is a true classic among PUMA knives. Originally developed in the 1950s and manufactured by us for many decades, we have now reissued this beautiful pocket knife—with its signature single-edged stiletto blade—in a special edition. We’ve selected only the finest materials: stainless DAMASTEEL® DS93X™ ( “Odin’s Eye” pattern) for the blade, bolsters, guard, and back spring, as well as premium mammoth tusk for the handle scales. This exceptionally high-quality folding knife, handcrafted entirely by our knife maker Philipp Monien, features not only an exclusive selection of materials but also a refined mechanism that allows the movable guard (“Swing-Guard”) to move smoothly when opening and closing the blade. A sturdy “back lock” serves as the locking mechanism, holding the blade reliably and securely in the open position. Another highlight is the gold etching on the blade.

German PUMA Reh Hunting Stag Knife

Introduction:

The Puma Reh knife belongs to the traditionally manufactured hunting nickers and is a classic hunting companion in German hunting grounds - from PUMA Solingen.

The PUMA "Reh" is a classic nicker made of stainless steel in a stable, forged design. Blade, hand guard and flat form a single unit and are only complemented by the deer horn scales. The term "Nicker" originates from its original function as a "neck catcher". Due to its intended purpose, the traditionally designed blade is very pointed and widens continuously towards the back in the direction of the handle. This is the form in which the Nicker has been found in our pattern books for well over a hundred years.
