Fallkniven Odin NL2L Hunting Knife
- Made by Fällkniven -
Introduction:
Together with Thor, the one-eyed Odin (or Woden) is considered the highest ranking god in the Norse sagas. He was the father of the gods and of mankind, riding on his eight-legged horse Sleipner. Accompanied by his bearers of knowledge, the two ravens Hugin and Munin, he was the undisputed ruler of Valhalla. NL2 Odin is a powerful adaptable knife with its blade in our laminated VG10 steel. The striking action is excellent and the knife does not feel the least clumsy. When it comes to the Northern Light Series nothing has been spared to make the knife as strong, beautiful and comfortable as possible. The knife is a pleasure to look at and a thrill to use.
The blade is made out of laminated VG10 steel, where the edge is made of our now renowned VG10 steel and the sides consist of tough, all-stainless 420J2 steel. This combination is good since it brings together all conceivable and desirable properties such as resilience, resistance to torque and edge-durability in a single blade. A 6.5 mm thick blade in itself would be strong enough for most tasks – with laminate technology one can expect an additional 20% strength in the form of resistance to bending, as compared to an ordinary VG10 blade. The handle consists of specially selected oxhide: sadly a material that is usually overlooked by manufacturers, but which gives a sure and rugged grip. It ages beautifully and as the years pass it acquires an attractive brown patina, and it is unaffected by oil and solvents and impervious to water. Dryness might cause small cracks on the handle but they disappear when the knife is put to use again. We are persisting with the convex edge, since we consider this to be the ultimate combination of cutting performance and edge strength, and of course our NL2 Odin knife features this. Anyone who knows anything about knife making knows that such an edge can only be made by hand, and that’s why 99.99% of all knives don’t have that kind of edge. Each Northern Lights series knife comes with a high-quality black leather sheath.

Fallkniven Thor NL1L Hunting Knife
- Made by Fällkniven -
Introduction:
Model NL1 Thor. It’s a strong chopper of world-class quality, where nothing has been spared to make the knife as strong, beautiful and comfortable as possible. The knife is a pleasure to look at and a thrill to use. The blade is made of laminated VG10 steel, where the edge is made of our now renowned VG10 steel and the sides consist of tough, all-stainless 420J2 steel. This combination is good since it brings together all conceivable and desirable properties such as resilience, resistance to torque and edge-durability in a single blade. A 7 mm (0.28″) thick blade in itself would be strong enough for most tasks – with laminate technology one can expect an additional 20% strength in the form of resistance to bending, as compared to an ordinary VG10 blade.
Everyone who has used a chopper knows that it is designed for heavy use, which makes great demands on the blade and handle. Our handle consists of specially selected oxhide: sadly a material that is usually overlooked by manufacturers, but which gives a sure and rugged grip. It ages beautifully and as the years pass it acquires an attractive brown patina, and it is unaffected by oil and solvents and impervious to water. Dryness might cause small cracks on the handle but they disappear when the knife is put to use again. We are persisting with the convex edge, since we consider this to be the ultimate combination of cutting performance and edge strength, and of course our NL1 Thor knife features this. Anyone who knows anything about knife making knows that such an edge can only be made by hand, and that’s why 99.99% of all knives don’t have that kind of edge. Knives in general are of course mass produced, where CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) robots and grinders shape the blades as best they can. The machines are loaded with stacks of blades so that production can go on 24 hours a day and the result is quite often really good – good knives at affordable quotes. However, if you want top-drawer strength, corrosion-resistance, edge durability and design, the machine hasn’t been made that can come even close to the craftsmanship of a trained, skilled knifesmith. Therefore, we take great pride in being able to present the first model in our Northern Lights Series – the NL1 Thor, well aware of that only the most quality-conscious will appreciate its assets. It felt natural to give this chopper the name of the Aesir’s strongest and most powerful god, the ruler of the Aesir’s domicile, Asgard, the strong, red-bearded god of thunder – Thor. Each Northern Lights series knife comes with a high-quality black leather sheath.

Fallkniven Tre Kronor de Lux TK5L Hunting Knife
- Made by Fällkniven -
"The product images show the old version with 3G steel. However, the current version will be delivered in the significantly improved ELMAX steel quality."
Introduction:
Tre Kronor, the Swedish knife series, offers a highly advanced technological solution combined with timeless Swedish design. These knives are in the Swedish minimalist idiom, where form harmonises with function. The result is an edged implement that the user will find an easy and accommodating knife — a world-beater from Sweden. The experienced hunter will certainly like this knife! For clearing a game a knife doesn’t have to be very large but well shaped. A droppoint-blade has got the right design for not cutting through membranes and guts, that is if you know how to put the cut. This three-finger knife will work properly if you place the endbutt into your palm and your fingers over the blade. The TK5 is not the regular woodcarving knife but should be considered as a pure hunting knife. Still many people like the slightly shorter size which for sure will make the TK5 a very popular allround knife. The wood handle doesn’t need any special care but a drop of furniture cream now and then won’t hurt.
Please note:
There can be some variation in pattern and shades on the wooden handles.
Specifications:
Steel: ELMAX HRC 61-62 Blade length: 3.15" inch / 80 mm Total length: 6.89” inch / 175 mm Handle length: 3.74” inch / 95 mm Handle scales: Cocobolo
The Puma Cougar collector knife, is probably one of the most elegant hunting knives ever. The "Cougar wood" knife is a real designer piece that cuts just as fine a figure in use as it does in the collector's showcase - from PUMA Solingen.
The "cougar" model was designed by Richard Hehn, one of Germany's most renowned knifemakers. For decades in the PUMA program, it has not lost its myth to this day.
The blade is made of the stainless steel DIN 1.4112 and hardened up to 57 HRC.
The construction of the knife is also a special feature: The blade and the one-piece handle manufactured in the steel investment casting process are separate elements that are joined together in a special process. For this purpose, the blade has a short flat, which is taken up by the handle through an opening and riveted firmly there. Subsequently, the rivet joint on both sides is provided with a polished steel cap, which bears our company logo, the well-known rhombus with the head of the Puma.
