When we developed our PUMA Waidwerk ergonomics had the highest priority. We teamed up with a professional hunter and a butcher to create this special blade design. We chose to use hard Sandvik 14C28N steel for the 4.330” inch (110mm) long blade because it holds the edge incredibly well. Even though the blade has a very modern design we combined it with our typical stag scales and white copper bolsters.

The "Phoenix" belongs to a type of knife that was already known well over one hundred and fifty years ago in the vastness of the North American prairie and still carries the typical feel of the "Wild West" - from PUMA Solingen.

From the series of PUMA Bowie knives comes our model "phoenix". This knife with its forged blade does every trapper credit. It is a real all-rounder. The 7 mm thick full tang blade made of stainless 1.4116 steel reaches a hardness of 55-57 HRC and is therefore up to any task. A solid parry element keeps the working hand away from the blade. The handle scales made of warp-free pakka wood with a catch strap eyelet fit perfectly and securely in the hand. This high quality knife is carefully handcrafted in Solingen, Germany. A sturdy saddle leather sheath is included.

The "Saubart" is a handy and short, yet very powerful knife in solid construction for universal use - from PUMA Solingen.

 The PUMA "saubart" offers the user many advantages through the following features:

As a blade material, stainless Sandvik steel 14C28N is used, which brings it to a Rockwell hardness of 60-62 HRC, giving the knife a high edge retention.
The new blade shape, previously tested by hunters, allows the use of the complete cutting surface. In addition, the back of the blade is provided with a sharpened phase. With a blade length of 100 mm and a thickness of 3 mm, the knife is compact and allows for practical handling. Thanks to the full tang construction, the "saubart" is also very stable. Pakka wood was chosen for the handle sheathing. This laminated and consolidated material is very durable and warp-free at the same time. Thanks to the pronounced finger recesses in combination with the strong toggle made of nickel silver, there is a secure grip when working with this high-quality PUMA knife. Introduction:

The design of the PUMA Annual Knife 2024 comes from knifemaker Christoph Daim, a member of the German Knifemakers Guild (DMG), who looks for something special, artistic and interesting in knives. Together with engraver Stefanie Ottilie, he has produced the first prototype for us, which has a particularly artistic touch. 

At first glance, the 2024 annual knife has a simple and minimalist design and even dispenses with handle scales. However, it scores points with beautiful laser engravings of our heraldic animal, the PUMA. Enjoy the laser engravings of the elegant predator on both sides. On the front there is a laser engraving of a lurking puma behind a tree, on the back you can see a puma in a playful leap typical of cats, "hunting" butterflies.  The PUMA annual knife is limited to just 255 pieces worldwide. The annual knife, laser engraved, is made of 1.4116 stainless steel and comes with a handmade leather sheath and a high-quality, decorative display stand.

German PUMA DAGGA BOY Hunting Knife

The model "dagga" is a heavy, robust and yet shapely hunting knife that is not too bad for any task - from PUMA Solingen.

Knives used for hunting should have good stability. This insight was consistently implemented in our PUMA "dagga". The result is a heavy hunting all-rounder with a strong flat-ground blade whose full tang is fitted with voluminous buffalo horn scales. A guard made of solid nickel silver serves as hand protection. These features make the "dagga" model suitable for heavier cutting tasks and will not let its owner down in any situation.

A brief explanation of the name of the knife: “Dagga Boy” is a term used mainly in the context of safaris in Africa to describe an old, solitary male buffalo. The word “dagga” comes from Zulu and means mud, referring to the preference of these buffalo to spend time in muddy waters to protect themselves from insects, among other things. Dagga Boys are known for their unpredictability and can be quite dangerous. Such a strong name for a powerful hunting knife!

The PUMA "Automesser" was created on the basis of the original PUMA "white hunter" back in the 1960's and has the same outstanding features.
