The Puma Saubart knife is a handy and short, yet very powerful knife in full-tang construction for universal use - from PUMA Solingen.
The PUMA “saubart” offers the user many advantages due to the following features:
Sandvik stainless steel 14C28N is used as blade material, which brings it to a Rockwell hardness of 60-62 HRC, which gives the knife a high cutting strength.
The new blade shape, previously tested by hunters, allows the use of the complete cutting surface. In addition, the blade back is provided with a ground phase.
With a blade length of 100 mm and a thickness of 3 mm, the knife is compact and allows practical handling. Thanks to the solid construction, the “saubart” is also very stable.
Hirschhorn was chosen for the handle formwork. Thanks to the pronounced finger grooves in combination with the strong gag made of nickel silver, this high-quality PUMA knife provides a secure grip when working with it.
A brown saddle leather sheath is supplied for safe driving and transport.
Specifications:
Steel: Sandvik 14C28N / 60-62 HRC Blade length: 3.937” inch / 100 mm Total length: 8.346” inch / 212 mm Handle length: 4.409” inch / 112 mm Handle scales: Staghorn & Pakka Wood Blade thickness: 3 mm Overall weight 211 gr.
The PUMA"Skinner" knife is a special knife in a classic shape that was developed in the second half of the last century and has lost none of its popularity - by PUMA Solingen. The tip of the Skinner blade, which is typical for skinning, is slightly above the back of the blade on this Solingen classic. As a result, the cutting edge becomes very bulbous in the front part and is thus lengthened. This has the advantage that much longer cuts can be made and the need to apply the knife repeatedly is reduced. Since the tip of the blade is very high, the risk of accidentally stabbing the valuable fur is also significantly reduced. Distortion-free pakkawood scales and reliable aluminum finger protection sit on the continuous flat tang.
Specifications:
Steel: 1.4116 / 55-57 HRC Blade length: 5.079” inch / 129 mm Total length: 9.449” inch / 240 mm Handle length: 4.370” inch / 111 mm Handle scales: Pakka Wood Blade thickness: 4.5 mm Overall weight 160 gr.
