German Böker "Trench" Knife Grabendolch

Introduction:

During the positional war during the First World War and the resulting trench warfare, many of the insufficiently equipped soldiers developed auxiliary weapons, which were manufactured in field forges and workshops on and behind the front. In the course of the battles, however, it became clear that the soldiers' equipment and armament did not meet the requirements of this particular fighting style. In 1915 Boker was therefore commissioned by the Ministry of War to develop a compact combat knife that was ideally suited for precisely this purpose.
The true-to-the-original Boker Trench Knive also has a stainless steel blade made of C75. This carbon steel with an enormous edge retention requires appropriate care today as it did then. The massive stainless steel crossguard, the old official tang stamp on the blade, the local ribbed wood handle and the authentic sheath made of high-quality leather are also part of the original equipment. The knives are marked with a serial number.

Additional informations about C75 steel:

C75 is a classic non-stainless carbon steel we use for special projects in our manufacture in Solingen. Carbon steel soon develops its typical blue-gray patina that is not a flaw but a natural property of the material.

German Böker XL 2.0 Grenadill Full Tang Knife

Introduction:

The big brother of the ageless trusty Full-Tang addresses the frequently expressed desire for a larger version. With a blade length of approx. 14.7 cm, the Full-Tang is also appropriate for bigger game, from Northern Europe to overseas. The Full-Tang XL gets the same model maintenance features as the smaller Full-Tang. The handle was given a more crowned shape, while the parrying element and pommel are rounded to optimize visual appeal and handling. Moreover, the Full-Tang XL now also has the finger grooves of the more compact model to achieve the best possible ergonomics. The blade on the XL was also converted to a flat grind to maximize blade strength. Die-forged from a single 440C blank. Shipped with leather sheath. With scales made from premium certified imported grenadill wood.

Introduction:

The Boker Vollintegral XL is the big brother of the Boker Vollintegral, which has been tried and tested for many years, and meets the wish often expressed to us for a larger version. The impressive blade of satin- finnished 440C with a flat grind further maximises the stability of the blade. The steel is ice hardened to 58 to 59 HRC, making it suitable for stronger game, whether in northern Europe or overseas. The knife, drop-forged from one piece of steel, with intricately contoured handle scales is made of certified imported rosewood that always lies securely in the hand. The hand guard and knob are rounded to optimise the look and feel in the hand. Supplied with a high-quality brown leather sheath. Handmade in the Boker Knife Manufactory in Solingen.
