The scales consist of exquisite and durable certified imported Desert ironwood. The handy size is the perfect compromise between pocket dimensions and versatile functionality, which makes the Boxer a true all-rounder and a sure favorite of fans of unique pocket knives.

The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler (not to be confused with the lower-grade N695!) is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel we use at our Solingen manufacture for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the "Co" stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.

Fallkniven GPbm Gentleman's Folding Pocket Knife

- Made by Fällkniven -

Introduction:

Gentleman’s Pocket Knife appears to be a traditional, slightly old-fashioned pocket knife but if you look at it closely you will find nothing but modern materials and hi-tech solutions. We asked some professional hunters to look at a handmade sample of the GP, and their spontaneous review was: This is how a folding knife for hunting purposes should look like! Aside from personal preferences, we guess that many people will like the steel of this knife, our  laminated cobalt steel is unlikely sharp.

Other benefits include the reliable blade lock. A properly built liner-lock system is, in our opinion, the world’s strongest blade lock while still being easy to deal with. This technical solution also means that the knife is easy to clean. Rinse it under running warm water and let it dry for achieving best hygiene and function. As the strong blade bolt is threaded, you can adjust the blade inertia to suit your personal taste. The blade joint does not require lubrication. Oil and grease rather attract dust and dirt and this will increase rather than reduce wear. The shackle at the end of the handle allows you to tie the knife – you wouldn’t like to lose this beauty! The GPbm is made of Lam. CoS steel and with a handle of black micarta. Micarta is a composite consisting of phenolic resin (a thermosetting resin) and, for example, canvas (linen or cotton) or paper. If canvas fabric is used, a structure emerges when the knife handle is shaped, using paper you can often see different layers in this material. Suede pouch included.

Specifications:

Steel: Laminated CoS HRC 60
Blade length: 3.07" inch / 78 mm
Total length: 7.09” inch / 180 mm
Handle length: 3.93” inch / 100 mm
Handle scales: Black Micarta

Blade thickness: 3 mm
Knife weight 96 gr.

Additional Information:

Edge: Flat Ground

Pouch Included: Suede

Locking: Liner Lock

Laminated CoS: A newly developed high alloy cobalt-special steel

It’s crazy beautiful, real stag for handle material, but it’s also very hard to get enough many nice looking pieces, which also are legitimate to buy and manufacture. This staghorn comes from a legal source of Sambar deer stag. Staghorn, as everyone knows, is a natural material that moves – it shrinks and swells due to humidity. In addition, when horn ages, it shrinks slightly, and there is not much to do about it. This means that small stress cracks around bolts and ends are already visible on the folding knives or will occur later on. This is not covered by any guarantee! This means that you can always return a knife and request the money back (for the knife) but it cannot be warranty repaired or replaced by another sample. Or as they state on an auction – sold in the existing condition!

If you already know the characteristics of the horn, you can look forward to a really nice sample with well-matched staghorn sides, AAA quality in terms of patterns. Unfortunately, we could not mount the traditional bracket, it simply didn’t fit on this special. Suede pouch included.

There can be some variation in pattern and shades on the handles.

Fallkniven P3Gcfc Carbon Fiber Folding Pocket Knife

- Made by Fällkniven -

Introduction:

A lot has happened behind the scenes around this folding knife, but the aim has always been the same – to produce a folding knife with a sensible size and attractive design. Since we have sold folding knives for a long time we wanted to use that experience and make a knife that was practical, attractive and reliable. The P folder was born. From start with a blade in solid VG10, nowadays with a blade in laminated powder steel, our famous 3G stainless steel. The P folder is easy to clean since the back of the handle is open, something that makes it very suitable for hunting purposes. All models come with a black cordura sheath, which attaches to the belt.

In general, a folding knife can never be as strong as a sheath knife, and since it is the result of several hundred different work operations, it must of course be more expensive to manufacture. On the other hand it is a handy format and acceptable in many situations.Inspired by the world famous knifemaker R.W. Loveless, mod. P is a symbiosis between advanced technology, genuine handicraft and timeless design – a knife for the modern hunter. Today available with a handle in desert ironwood or hi-tech carbon fiber.
