German PUMA ROBUSTER Outdoor Knife
- Made in Solingen / Germany -
Introduction:
The Robuster is designed especially for the huge tasks in the wild. It is the best knife for multi-purpose tasks. It works both as a camping knife, as well as as a tool for gutting big game. The ergonomic handle provides a safe handling of the blade. This knife design is a successful synthesis of traditional Asian and European forms, combined with own first-hand experience. The Robuster combines history, elegance, and practicality. Everything that interferes with the performance, like a long ricasso, a paring rod, or a clumsy grip, has been avoided to create a utility knife with extraordinarily high useability. The stylistic base of the handle is taken from a well-prooven European saber grip design of the early 19th century and promises a secure grip even under difficult circumstances. In contrast to conventional knife handles, the rear circumference of this handle is significantly thinner, to let all fingers completely encompass the handle. The perfect combination of history and functionality. The knife blade shows a curved widening at the front, inspired by the forms of the Filipino Bolo Knives.
Its total length is 319 mm. The blade is 193 mm long and 5 mm thick and made from reliable Böhler steel N690 – 1.4528, a very durable steel that is easy to sharpen. The handles are made of walnut wood. The Robuster comes with a leather "quiver sheath", which is attachable in multiple ways. We are committed to quality and provide each knife with a unique serial number and a “Made in Solingen” label.

The PUMA "rüdemann40" is characterized by its long and particularly sturdy blade, which finds its use when intercepting game as well as a standout in inaccessible shrubbery. The knife was developed in its original form as early as 1975 in cooperation with Tassius, the guide of a hunting dog. In the meantime we have revised the "rüdemann" according to new findings. The proven blade shape, widened in the front area, has been combined with an ergonomically perfected handle for optimum handling and safe working. The Puma Saubart knife is a handy and short, yet very powerful knife in full-tang construction for universal use - from PUMA Solingen.
The PUMA “saubart” offers the user many advantages due to the following features:
Sandvik stainless steel 14C28N is used as blade material, which brings it to a Rockwell hardness of 60-62 HRC, which gives the knife a high cutting strength.
The new blade shape, previously tested by hunters, allows the use of the complete cutting surface. In addition, the blade back is provided with a ground phase.
With a blade length of 100 mm and a thickness of 3 mm, the knife is compact and allows practical handling. Thanks to the solid construction, the “saubart” is also very stable.
Hirschhorn was chosen for the handle formwork. Thanks to the pronounced finger grooves in combination with the strong gag made of nickel silver, this high-quality PUMA knife provides a secure grip when working with it.
A brown saddle leather sheath is supplied for safe driving and transport.
Specifications:
Steel: Sandvik 14C28N / 60-62 HRC Blade length: 3.937” inch / 100 mm Total length: 8.346” inch / 212 mm Handle length: 4.409” inch / 112 mm Handle scales: Staghorn & Pakka Wood Blade thickness: 3 mm Overall weight 211 gr.
The PUMA"Skinner" knife is a special knife in a classic shape that was developed in the second half of the last century and has lost none of its popularity - by PUMA Solingen. The tip of the Skinner blade, which is typical for skinning, is slightly above the back of the blade on this Solingen classic. As a result, the cutting edge becomes very bulbous in the front part and is thus lengthened. This has the advantage that much longer cuts can be made and the need to apply the knife repeatedly is reduced. Since the tip of the blade is very high, the risk of accidentally stabbing the valuable fur is also significantly reduced. Distortion-free pakkawood scales and reliable aluminum finger protection sit on the continuous flat tang.
Specifications:
Steel: 1.4116 / 55-57 HRC Blade length: 5.079” inch / 129 mm Total length: 9.449” inch / 240 mm Handle length: 4.370” inch / 111 mm Handle scales: Pakka Wood Blade thickness: 4.5 mm Overall weight 160 gr.
